The Ink Jet Technologies Showcase announced the addition of a new short course, Nanotechnology and Opportunities for Digital Printing on September 7th as part of IMI’s Ink Jet Technology Showcase 2012 at the Hyatt Rosemont in Rosemont (Chicago), Illinois, USA.
Nanotechnology is the current frontier of science, engineering and manufacturing technologies. IMI’s Nanotechnology and Opportunities for Digital Printing short course provides a timely, critical overview of this vast field and its potential in the digital printing industry. Key topics include (1) history, evolution and economic/social impacts of Nanotechnology; (2) reviews of major research/technology areas and (3) discussion of opportunities to leverage Nanotechnology research/developments to fuel innovations in the digital printing industry.
Led by Dr. Kock-Yee Law of Research and Innovative Solutions (formerly with Xerox), this course will explore the latest advances in key research areas and discuss Nanotechnology’s use to create new features in future printers. Participants will become familiar with the field’s potential applications – enabling them to be more knowledgeable and productive in their printing research, development and product planning efforts.
